Mrs. Sancia Bennett Templer

Mrs. Sancia Bennett Templer has over 35 years of executive management experience in the public and private sectors in Jamaica working with government corporations, ministries, and major companies.

Her executive experience includes strategic leadership, policy formulation, development, and management of economic development initiatives, leading and executing Jamaica’s investment and trade promotion activities, development and management of significant infrastructure projects, and formulation and oversight of major international donor programmes.

Mrs. Bennett Templer also has extensive experience in public and private partnerships including privatization of major government entities and social partnership arrangements. Mrs. Bennett Templer is a graduate of The University of the West Indies and Plymouth Polytechnic in England. She holds a Masters in Business Administration, a Master of Science in International Shipping, and a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies.

Her governmental experience includes her tenure as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health (now Ministry of Health and Wellness), the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Justice. She is also a former President of Jamaica Promotions Corporation, (JAMPRO), served as CEO of the Partnership for Transformation’s Programme Management Office, and also served as Chief Technical Director in the Office of the Prime Minister.

Further, she was for many years the Senior Vice President of the Airports Authority of Jamaica where she was instrumental in the transformation of the Sangster and Norman Manley International Airports, as well as the privatization of the Sangster International Airport. Her diverse experience also includes executive positions in the shipping industry in Jamaica.

Mrs. Bennett Templer has served on the Board of Directors of several leading organizations including: the Development Bank of Jamaica, the Planning Institute of Jamaica, the Urban Development Corporation, Air Jamaica Limited, and Cari-Med Limited. At the regional level, she has served as President and Vice President of the Caribbean Association of Investment Promotion Agencies.
